The Hellas National Softball Team will return to action at the 2025 Canada Cup with a key matchup against the SoCal Sting on July 7 at 3:30 p.m. PDT at Softball City. Team Greece is looking to build momentum in what promises to be a high-intensity contest against one of the premier club teams in North America.

SoCal Sting, a powerhouse program from Southern California, is known for producing elite talent and competing at the highest levels of youth and women’s club softball. Their roster features a mix of standout athletes with strong fundamentals, quick decision-making, and relentless energy on the basepaths.

Greece enters the matchup eager to deliver a complete performance on both sides of the ball. Throughout the tournament, the team has demonstrated resilience, growth, and flashes of high-level play, proving they can compete with top international competition. With a growing sense of unity and valuable experience gained, Team Greece is ready to rise to the challenge against SoCal Sting.

Several players have taken charge on both sides of the ball, here’s who you should keep an eye on.

Georgia Polydoros, a returning outfielder, anchors the outfield with elite range and a strong, accurate arm. Her ability to rob hits and turn extra bases into outs gives Greece an edge in close games.

Zoe Stavrou, one of the team’s top hitters, is a dual threat capable of spraying doubles to all parts of the field and going deep when needed. Her leadership and ability to deliver in clutch moments make her a central figure in Greece’s offensive plans.

On the mound, Loren Stavrou brings veteran poise and precision, and baffles hitters by working all corners of the strike zone.  Off the field, she plays a key role as a mentor to younger players, fostering growth and unity throughout the team.

Kasey Xenidis provides valuable versatility, able to pitch as well as play both infield and outfield positions. She makes solid contact at the plate and is a dynamic force who can shift the momentum of a game.

In her second season with Team Greece, Sophia Vlahos adds strength to the lineup and pitching staff. A reliable presence in the infield, Vlahos balances intensity and positivity, often lifting team morale in tough moments.

Fans can catch the action live on official Canada Cup streams and stay connected with Team Greece on social media.
